Guilty Pleasures

We all have guilty pleasures..

Guilty pleasures are the small pleasures in life that you enjoy doing but you'd rather die than be caught doing it.. (clear?)

Offcourse this post is inspired by the movie: Amelie (The most creative movie ever). You'd know what I mean if you've seen it.

Anyhow, these are some of my guilty pleasures (shh dont tell anyone plz) :

1-Getting my heart broken after seeing Nancy 3ajram’s Video Clip ..

ياي سحر عيونو نزراته

2-Watching Ashlee Simpson ة_ة on MTV

3-Putting Humoud Nasser’s song “I6ma’in” on repeat.

4-Voting for American Idol
(just once).

5-Reading my old posts over and over (and the comments).

6-Singing in elevators.

7-Reading
about conspiracy theories.

8-Being a member of Elissa’s fan club
:.. and sending her an e-mail.

9-Watching Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood on PBS.

10-Making bird sounds while walking to class and pretending it’s not me.

11-Listening to Rush Limbaugh on Radio.

12-Giving revolutionary speeches in front of my mirror.

13-Googling the people I know..(myself included).

Did I say everything..?

mm.. I don’t think so
I know I didn't
If I remember any more.. Ill add them

Now.. tell me... Any guilt pleasures you want to share?

1. I look at people's foreheads when they're boring me, furrow my eyebrows, pretending to concentrate.

2. أتفنن في صيد الأخطاء الإملائية و النحوية for everything.

Talking to myself most of the times when I’m alone.
Scolding myself in front of a mirror.
Being spacey most of the time in the presence of someone who talks a lot, giving him the impression that I’m a good listener, while in fact my ears are shut and I’m somewhere else.

ok I wrote a comment and it didn't publish for some reason!
ok back to your topic...guilty pleasures...I have already published a picture in my blog of 2 of my guilty pleasures...hahahahaha and I do share the love for Mr.Rogers (R.I.P) but I always remember Eddie Murphy as Mr.Rogers in SNL that was one of the funniest characters on SNL...ok I'm side tracking again....going to the movie theatre alone to enjoy a good movie without my friend bugging me what did they say...going to a Turkish neighbor "tegra alfenyal" I know it's all bullshit but I enjoy how she creates images in my turkish coffee cup...hahahahaha...and the last guilty pleasure is downloading music through my neighbors wireless connection..but I am blocked now...LOL
that's all I could think of for now...love your list mobda'a ;)

Pee Wee's Big Adventure (I've seen it 20 times and counting!!)

Zaydoun,
I thought this one counted as a guilty pleasure for you ;-)

Among my guilty pleasures: trashy female country singers and Farid Shawq”y (may he RIP) movies - even the bad ones!

Anti Reason.. yes I did enjoy Showgirls but I've only seen it once.

Pee Wee is an addiction!

Zaydoun;
You know, I really can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen PeeWee search for his bicycle ?! Years ago in the US, whenever I’d go home during the afternoon, I’d turn the TV to HBO and the movie was on. I’d say if I collect all the snippets I might have seen the movie a dozen times at least! Best scene: the Alamo! :-D Now whenever I visit Texas I smile as I recall the poor fella being laughed at!

Shrink,
Buying DVD-Boxed collections is a guilty pleasure? Then I’m guilty as charged! I even got my father into it with collections of Poirot and Sherlock Holmes – which we already have on tape and seen many times, not to mention Law & Order, CSI, 24 and more.

Ahh, Amelie. I wouldn’t consider it a guilty pleasure – it was a good movie. Whats with the mystery of the gnome, the photo booth guy, how many orgasms …,
Priceless!

I’m not sure about the sand – or if I even want to know about it!

Wow we have a lot in common! Except for the fact that some of these pleasures I do not feel guilty about. I like watching the Ashlee Simpson Show (but I can only stand so much). I also like singing in elevators (who knows maybe everyone does it?) And I don't just read conspiracy theories I invent them (I have one for the Theory of Evolution, Existentialism, and the American marginal interest groups). I enjoyed Amelie and He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, too. I know there were more, but I can't remember them now. Oh, Rush Limbaugh? I don't think our local radio station carries his show, but I listen to Glen Beck, Bill O'reily, and Michael Savage (even though I don't agree with everything they talk about I usually get the whole story from them rather than from CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, etc). As for my own guilty pleasures? I act out scenes from novels I have spanned out in my head, but have failed to GET ON PAPER! Somehow it helps to act out each character I have invented to get more perspective or just more creative. But if anyone ever caught me, that would be incredibly embarassing! Man, if I were as faithful to my fiction writing as I am to my blog, I would have three novels out by now! And a book of poems. Oh, well, there's always tommorrow.
